Research topics include, but are not limited to:
- quantum-classical interfaces, aka classical shadows

- new qudit-based quantum computing primitives, e.g. algorithms, compilation & error correction
- randomized algorithm design for numerical linear algebra and large-scale data analysis
- randomized algorithm design for convex and non-convex optimization problems
- new quantum meta-algorithms for convex optimization tasks
- quantum variants of Conway's Game of Life (and other cellular automata)
- gamification of quantum computing foundations
- and many more…
Desirable skills include knowledge of quantum computing and/or machine learning, and programming languages (e.g. Python, Julia), as well as (some) familiarity with mathematical reasoning. Note that these skills are desirable, but not strict prerequisites. On the contrary, we give our team members the opportunity to learn on the job and grow into independent quantum researchers with a versatile skill set.
